Expressing concern on the anomalies and rampant corruption in various government departments as revealed in the CAG report, the Mokokchung Town Lanur Telongjem (MTLT) has extended support on the ACAUT’s demand for Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe.
In a press release, MTLT media cell while referring to 4-point demand made by ACAUT has also demanded that inquiry be made accordingly so that those found guilty should be convicted with resultant suspension/termination from their services.
Stating that it was a grave concern, that CAG report on PDS in the state had shown the level of “cryptic crudity” in the department of food and civil supplies and anomalies have been detected in this department since 2011, the MTLT demanded all files in the department from 2011 till date be thoroughly checked by CBI.
On the misuse of 5069 ration cards reported by CAG, the MTLT questioned whether Nagaland government has done anything to make the corrections thereof and what constitutes the latest report on this.
