Staff ReporterDIMAPUR, SEP 12 (NPN)

Traffic movement along the Pagala Pahar stretch of National Highway-29 (NH-29) was severely affected on Friday after mudslides completely blocked the highway at multiple locations.
According to traffic police, the mudslides that occurred between 2-2:30pm damaged an alto car. The car door was struck by falling rocks, but no injuries were reported, traffic police said.
The road has been declared blocked from Chatter River Bridge to New Chümoukedima Bridge. NHIDCL has deployed JCBs for clearance operations at three affected locations. Authorities have urged commuters to avoid travelling through Pagala Pahar area until further notice, as the stretch remained unsafe and not pliable for traffic.
