CHÜMOUKEDIMA, AUG 5 (NPN): Medziphema United FC (MUFC) produced a commanding display to register a comprehensive 7-1 victory over Medziphema Football Academy (MFA) in Match 11 of the 2nd edition of the CDFA League-cum-Rokonicha Champions Trophy in Chümoukedima on Wednesday.
Medziphema United FC made an explosive start as Kikruzelie (jersey No. 12) opened the scoring in the very first minute before Rokovizo (jersey No. 9) doubled the advantage in the third minute. Kikruzelie struck again in the 13th minute to complete his brace and put his side firmly in control.
The lead was further extended when Kevisevor (jersey No. 8) found the net in first-half stoppage time (45+3). Medziphema Football Academy managed to pull one back through Lhousakhoto (jersey No. 7) in the 45th minute, but it proved to be only a consolation.
After the break, Medziphema United FC continued to dominate proceedings. Visalie (jersey No. 23) added the fifth goal in the 56th minute before Viselie (jersey No. 14) rounded off the emphatic victory with two late strikes in the 90+1 and 90+5 minutes.
The only caution of the match was shown to Medziphema United FC’s Visalie (jersey No. 23).
Kevisevor Zahümo (jersey No. 8) of Medziphema United FC was adjudged the Player of the Match for his impressive performance.
The match patron was general secretary NPF 5th Ghaspani II Assembly Constituency, Semato Zhimo.
Meanwhile, Match 12 of the tournament will see Sovima Sports Club taking on Outlaws FC at 3:30 p.m. The match patron will be president NPF 5th Ghaspani II, Thepfüselie Makritsu.
