MVC condemns AR action

Meriema Village Council (MVC) has strongly condemned and accused the fictitious act committed by Assam Rifles Kohima regiment jawans, upon one of its bonafide citizen, Kezhalezo Ciesotsu, on May 19 midnight. 
In a condemnation note, MVC chairman claimed that AR personnel led by Molung Sunep and a police personnel from North police station, Kohima allegedly planted a pistol and threatened Ciesotsu on the ruse of possession of illegal weapon. In this regard, MVC said that they have filed an FIR with the intention of wrongfully implicating him. The council termed the act as “dirty” perpetrated by the Assam Rifles, played on an innocent citizen, with the aim of creating fear psychosis in an around the peaceful vicinity of the village which they said would not be tolerated. 
MVC further urged the Assam Rifles command or concerned authority to conduct a serious inquiry into the case and initiate strict disciplinary action against the errant personnel, to ensure that such unlawful behaviour is never carried out against the innocent and law abiding citizens of its respected village in the near future.
