Mountain View Christian College (MVCC), Kohima held its 25th Freshers’ Day on August 6. Addressing the gathering, Director of Higher Education, I. Alempokba urged the students to keep striving and achieve greater heights.
He also pointed out that 25 years is a time to reflect on the years gone by and to further draw the best within themselves. He said that a college with a small enrolment has its own advantages wherein teachers can give personal attention to the students. He also encouraged the students to put in their concerted efforts to keep building their college.
Director further dwelt on the scope for English students and stated hope that Nagaland state will emerge as the finest English speaking state. Meanwhile, All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU), president Zhoku Thuluo also spoke on the occasion. Earlier, welcome address was delivered by college principal, Onen Temjen. The event that was marked by colourful performances from the students.
