
Maurice Wylie Media (MWM) Nagaland Chapter-cum-book “The dancing quill” release was held respectively on Saturday, at Orchid conference hall, Hotel Saramati Dimapur.
Speaking at the programme as special guest, under secretary to the government of Nagaland, School Education department P James Swu (NCS) narrating his love for reading book as hobby said that reading has been the most common part of hobby in other parts of the country which was seen less within “our” people. He also wished that young people would inculcate and accept the hobby of reading.
Mentioning about challenges met by various writers in Nagaland, he said that in this part of the country publishing of book was expensive and a big challenge for Nagaland. Furthermore, Swu hoped that with the launching of MWM, it will encourage and motivate writers of Nagaland and also assured his support to find more “Gems” in the land of Nagaland.
Highlights of the programme included launching of MWM and book release by MWM, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom founder director Rev. Maurice Wylie and signing of contract/MoU between MWM and Pekingto Y Jimo for publishing his book “The lost mission”.
The programme was compered by Moanungsang, invocation prayer offered by Dimapur Sumi Baptist Church senior pastor Rev. S Vitoshe Swu.
Later, word of gratitude was delivered by Bohoto Z Zhimo and benediction was offered by Northern Ireland, United Kingdom Stephen Graham.
Meanwhile, in a press conference, Rev. Maurice Wylie said that MWM base will be set up later this year encouraging as many as Christian educational, inspirational and self development book motivating writers to be better in the field.
He also mentioned that MWM Nagaland Chapter was the first branch of Northern Ireland seeking to protect authors.
Rev. Maurice Wylie was also accompanied by Nigel Scott manager of Pig Invation Centre in NI, the only farm in Ireland conducting welfare research into pig farming and Stephen Graham manager, EUru, O2, Telefonica, IT specialist.
Highlighting about the release of the second book “The dancing quill”, the author A Anato Swu said that it was a collection of poetry which has been penned from his life experiences, to give deeper understanding from the seasons of life.
Each poem reveals depth in God and hidden riches of an unperfected life, allowing the master to use his writing as a gift to touch this world.
Author also looks forward to bring out his third book, basically a fiction combined with all stories together.
