‘My Naginimora my home’ mission launched

A mission named “my Naginimora my home” for the “holistic and sustainable development of Naginimora town”, was launched on May 1 at town council hall, Naginimora with DC Mon, K Thavaseelan as the special guest.

According to DIPR report, additional deputy commissioner, Naginimora, Vineet Kumar presented an overview of the programme where he said that the main aim of the mission was to create a sense of belongingness among people in the development process.

The mission would work simultaneously on three aspects namely “town beautification and cleanliness”, improvement of “infrastructure and service delivery” and creating “sustainable economy” by involving people. Three committees involving members from administration, various departments and civil society organisations (CSOs) would steer the mission. The special guest also felicitated sanitation workers for their hard work and presented them with PPE items.

He encouraged all the departments and NGOs to keep on striving hard and requested the people to own the mission for the betterment of the citizens and development of the town. 

Meanwhile, president KU, Naginimora, Khampei Konyak gave a short speech highlighting the potential of the town and need of this mission.

Earlier, SDO (power) Naginimora, Nyoingam Konyak chaired the programme while the special guest planted sapling at the town council hall campus.

HoDs, NGO leaders, town leaders, pastors and principals of various schools also attended the programme.
