MYM Dimapur marks National Sports Day with walkathon

DIMAPUR, AUG 30 (NPN): On the occasion of National Sports Day, the Marwari Yuva Manch (MYM), Dimapur Shikhar Branch and Dimapur Amrit Samriddhi Branch jointly organised a Walkathon on Sunday morning.
According to Branch Public Relations Minister Vikas Garg, participants assembled at City Tower at 5 AM and proceeded together to DDSC Stadium. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from more than 50 individuals.
Welcoming the gathering, program convenor Ankush Garg extended best wishes on National Sports Day and reminded participants that the day commemorates the birth anniversary of hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand. He also emphasised the health benefits of a regular morning walk.
It was highlighted that over 800 branches of Marwari Yuva Manch across India organised similar walkathons under the aegis of Akhil Bhartiya Marwari Yuva Manch, making the initiative a nationwide movement.
At the conclusion of the event, participants were felicitated with certificates, juice and fruits. The organisers expressed gratitude to all members and participants for their cooperation and support.
The programme was conducted under the supervision of Convenor Ankush Garg, Co-convenors Gulshan Agarwal and Nikita Jain, along with Neelam Mundhra. Prominent attendees included MYM Dimapur Shikhar Branch President Jai Kumar Agarwal, vice president Ankush Garg, executive members Gulshan Agarwal and Pawan Daga, Amrit Samriddhi Branch treasurer Poonam Atal and other yuva members.
