National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) Peer Team visited Eastern Christian College (ECC) Padumpukhuri, Dimapur on February 11-12 and interacted with the management, principal, IQAC, etc. The team was led by Dr. Adya Prasad Pandey as chairperson, former Vice Chancellor, Manipur University, Dr. Aravind Joshi, member Co-ordinator, Registrar, KK Sanskrit University, Nagpur, Maharashtra and Dr. Rakesh Rao, member, Principal, B. P Brahmbhatt Arts and M. H Guru Commerce College, Unjha, Gujarat.
The Team assessed the infrastructure of the College including the classrooms, library, staff room, women’s hostel, students common room, girls’ common room, multipurpose hall, college campus, créche, medical infirmary etc.
A cultural programme in honour of the visiting NAAC Peer Team was also held where the rich culture of India was presented through songs, dances and display of traditional attires. The exit meeting concluded on February 12. ECC principal delivered the welcome note followed by NAAC Peer Team chairperson’s address after which the report was handed over to the principal. Vote of thanks was delivered by IQAC co-ordinator.
