NAAC Peer team visits NU for assessment

National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) Peer Team embarked on a three-day visit to Nagaland University. During their visit from April 1 to 3, the team led by former Vice Chancellor, Cotton University, Dr. Bhabesh Chandra Goswami, distinguished members from various reputed institutions across the country will assess all the campuses of NU including Lumami, Kohima, Medziphema and Dimapur.


The team after assessment will provide comprehensive feedback for the enhancement of the university’s academic and administrative standards. A press release by NU through its PRO, informed that the team consisted of Professor, West Bengal University, Dr. Subir Biswas, Dr. Sartik Bagh from BBAU, Luknow, Vice Chancellor, Palamuru University, Dr. L B Laxmikanth Rathod, Dr. Sujatha Peela from Brau University, Srikakulam, and former Professor, NEHU, Dr. Nirankar Srivastava, arrived Nagaland University on April 1.


They were welcomed by Vice Chancellor Prof. Jagadish Kumar Patnaik, Registrar Dr. Abemo, IQAC Director Prof. Dipak Sinha, Pro Vice Chancellors of different campuses, faculties, and officers.


Director, IQAC, Prof. Deepak Sinha, emphasized the significance of the evaluation, highlighting its role in fostering continuous improvement within the university, while Vice Chancellor, Prof. Jagadish Kumar Patnaik, in his remarks, conveyed gratitude to NAAC Peer Team for undertaking the crucial assessment.
He expressed optimism that the university’s commitment to excellence in education and research would be duly recognized, and evaluation process would yield positive outcomes.
