A “Skill Development Training on Beekeeping” was held at Mass Educational Welfare Society (MEWS) hall Wokha from March 26 to April 2, assisted by NABARD RO Dimapur, implemented in association with the NGO, MEWS Wokha.
A press release issued by MEWS Wokha chairman, Lanchibemo Tsopoe said that the training programme included theoretical and practical training for six days. The participants were taken to Renathung apiary Khumtsu village on March 31.
The programme was inaugurated by DDM NABARD, S Amarjit Mangang on March 26 as the chief guest. 34 candidates from different colonies of Wokha town and its adjoining villages received intensive training and completed the training. The valediction function was held on April 2 at MEWS Hall, branch manager Central Bank of India Wokha branch, Lipok Ozukum was the chief guest while BM NStCB Wokha, Masheto Nandu was the guest of honour.
The programme was chaired by MEWS Wokha chairman, Lanchibemo Tsopoe, the vote of thanks was pronounced by trainee, Mhathung Lotha.
The house thanked the officials and staff of NABARD RO Dimapur, LDM SBI Wokha, BM CBI, BM NStBC, MEWS Wokha and supervisor (KBI) KVIB Wokha for organizing the training for the welfare and upliftment of the beekeeper community’s livelihood.
