NABARD inaugurates DDM office in Mon

DIMAPUR: The District Development Manager (DDM) office of NABARD was inaugurated at Mon on Saturday by Deputy Commissioner Mon, Wennyei Konyak, in the presence of district officials, bankers, line department representatives and development partners.
In his address, Konyak highlighted the immense developmental potential of Mon and stressed the need for convergence of government schemes and programmes to maximize impact. He acknowledged NABARD’s Regional and Head Offices for establishing the DDM office and expressed confidence that it would strengthen coordination between NABARD and district level stakeholders, thereby facilitating effective implementation of developmental initiatives.
He further emphasized the importance of concerted efforts among government departments, banks and development agencies to ensure inclusive, sustainable and holistic growth in the district.
Deputy General Manager NABARD, O.P. Mounglang, reiterated NABARD’s commitment towards strengthening rural livelihoods, infrastructure development and credit flow through close collaboration with stakeholders. He also underlined NABARD’s role as the apex development financial institution dedicated to promoting sustainable and inclusive rural development.
The programme also featured short speeches from Robert Zosangliana, Chief Manager, SBI Mon Branch; Chemkai Konyak, Branch Manager, Nagaland State Cooperative Bank Ltd.; and a representative from Eleutheros Christian Society (ECS), a partner agency of NABARD.
Earlier, DDM Mon, NABARD, Abigail Rai delivered the welcome address and provided a brief overview of NABARD’s developmental interventions. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks and interaction among stakeholders.
