NABARD launches FLC in NSCB

In a first of its kind, NABARD has launched the Financial Literacy Centre (FLC) at Nagaland State Co-operative Bank (NSCB) head office by its General Manager (OIC), V Chelladurai, on February 26.
Chelladurai, in his speech, said it was a step forward in mission of financial inclusion. He said FLC would undertake financial literacy programme and provide periodic knowledge up-gradation of its clients on various banking products and services.  Chelladurai said FLC would encompass basic issues like the need for saving and starting early saving, making use of bank services, linking borrowing with repayment capacity, timely repayment, insurance and pension.
Also speaking in the programme, NABARD Deputy General Manager, Tiakala, has stressed on the need for providing financial counseling services in local languages.
The inaugural was chaired by NSCN managing director, S Atovi Sema, while the welcome speech was delivered by FLC coordinator, VK Disong, and the vote of thanks by the General Manager (Admin), NSCB, Dimapur, Imtilemba Longkumer.
