A team of 6 athletes from Naga Armbenders represented Nagaland at the National Arm Wrestling & Para Arm Wrestling Championship 2025, held from June 28 to July 2 at VKN Menon Indoor Stadium, Thrissur (Trichur), Kerala and brought home 6 medals for the state.
The team members were Vethozo Lohe, Avilie Zuyie, Inamul Borah, Abhishek Pradhan, Aryan Borah and Dzüziengulie Rame.
Medal winners were Vethozo Lohe: Silver in Senior 80kg Right Arm; Silver in Youth 80kg Left Arm; and Bronze in Youth 80kg Right Arm. Avilie Zuyie: Gold in Youth 100kg Right Arm; Silver in Youth 100kg Left Arm. Inamul Borah: Bronze in Masters 80kg Right Arm.
Abhishek Pradhan and Aryan Borah fought hard and secured 4th place finishes.
President of the Nagaland Armwrestling Association, Neli Dominic mentioned that the state team just concluded their participation at the National Armwrestling Championship 2025 held in Kerala, and highlighted that they secured 6 medals for Nagaland. The team will be returning home on July 5.
