Naga Bazaar council expels one

Naga Bazaar Panchayat has ex-communicated Ms. Senenya Semy from Nagabazar Colony until further notice and also demanded the family of Thechwü Semy to tender public apology to be released in the local newspapers.
The decision to ex-communicate Ms Senenya Semy was taken during a meeting of Naga Bazaar Panchayat and Gaon Buras with the family of Ms. Senenya Semy and all the tenants living within the premises of Thechwü Semy following recovery of an infant.
It may be mentioned here that on January 13, an infant was found abandoned within the premises of Thechwü Semy’s house, located at Nagabazar colony, Kohima. As there was no claimant for the infant, police personnel from the Women Cell and the North Police Station, Kohima, took theinfant and admitted at NHAK.
However, on January 19, Ms. Senenya Semy, daughter of Thechwü Semy, confessed that she is the mother of the infant and was taken into custody.
In a press release, Nagabazar Youth Organisation (NYO) stated that throughout the entire investigation process, it had fully co-operated with and assisted the police in bringing the culprit to justice.
