Nagaland: Two Naga entrepreneurs bag awards at BES

Two entrepreneurs from Nagaland, Dr. Yan Murry and Vizosielie Rupreo, were honored with prestigious awards at the Bharat Entrepreneurship Summit held at the NDMC Convention Centre, New Delhi, on Friday.


Dr. Yan Murry, the founder and chief executive of Pinnacle Skills, received the Bharat Entrepreneur Award, while Vizosielie Rupreo, the founder of VR Farm, was awarded the Bharat Start-up Award.


Dr. Yan Murry has been actively working in the skill development sector since 2012. Through his organization, Pinnacle Skills, he has trained thousands of youths in industries such as hospitality, healthcare, construction, and IT, helping them secure jobs and sustainable livelihoods.


Vizosielie Rupreo, a farm school teacher under ATMA from Chiechama Village, is recognized for his dedication to organic farming, free-range livestock farming, and apiculture.


Nominated by SAMETI Nagaland and the Director of Agriculture, Rupreo’s efforts in promoting sustainable agriculture earned him the Bharat Start-up Award.


The summit, organized by the Entrepreneurs Association of India, was graced by the presence of Shombi Sharp, United Nations Resident Coordinator for India, as the chief guest. The event also saw participation from government dignitaries, UN officials, and leading entrepreneurs from across the country.
