Naga People’s Front (NPF) has expressed its strong disapproval of the reported disruption caused by members of the Indian National Congress during the India AI Impact Summit 2026, held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on February 20, 2026.
NPF through its press bureau reaffirmed its respect for the democratic right to protest and acknowledged dissent as a vital component of India’s democracy. However, the party described the interruption of a high-profile global summit—where India was showcasing its technological advancements and leadership to the international community—as unfortunate and ill-timed.
It maintained that such actions risked undermining the nation’s image and distracting from its strategic priorities.
NPF noted that the India AI Impact Summit 2026 was an official Government of India programme, attended by international delegates, technology leaders, investors, and policymakers.
The ruling party said the summit served as a platform to highlight India’s innovation, stability, and policy commitment on the world stage—not a party event.
NPF has, therefore, appealed to all political parties to exercise restraint and avoid using international forums for partisan confrontation.
The party also stressed that disagreements, however strongly held, should be addressed through Parliament and other constitutional mechanisms for responsible and transparent debate, with national interest always taking precedence over party politics. NPF has called upon all stakeholders to uphold the dignity of democratic processes and act in a manner that safeguards and strengthens India’s global standing.
