Naga singer Visetuo concert on November 11

Renowned Naga singer Visetuo Chüpuo will be performing live at Capital Cultural Hall, Kohima on November 11, from 4:30 p.m. onwards. The Suna Raka fame singer with a huge fan following among the Tenyidie speaking communities will be performing some of his famous songs during the concert.


He will be accompanied by DGP band on the instruments while other renowned artistes including Mengu Suokhrie, Aseno Metha, Vikuyole Tase and Rokovi Khawakhrie will also be sharing the stage with him.
Born and brought up from Zhadima village, Visetuo has seven studio albums to his credit with the latest one, “Noudo Tsali”, released just a few months ago.


He picked up interest in music from an early age and learned to write songs, compose music by age 14, at the same time, perform his original songs at All India Radio Kohima.
Talking to Nagaland Post, Visetuo recalled how he would perform at the radio station equipped with an old worn-out guitar.


He fondly remembered the radio jockey encouraging him to write more songs so that he could perform it more often and build a fan following. He said gradually, he started writing more and more songs and that now he had completed 150 songs in total.


With a sense of happiness, Visetuo said he was able to buy a new guitar with the few money he earned by performing at the radio station. He informed that he would be performing some of his most liked songs during the concert especially Suna Raka since many of his fans were requesting.


“I am having quite a lot of fun jamming to some of my old songs which I have not performed for some time,” he said. He invited music lovers and well-wishers to come and be part of his musical journey and hoped he would be able to make it memorable for everyone.
