The 57th Naga Students’ Union Delhi ( NSUD) annual Sports Week is underway at Police Ground Kingsway Camp Delhi under the theme “Beyond Boundaries: Embracing diversity through sports” from March 13 with P.N Khrimey, Jt CP SPUNER & SPUWAC as the chief guest and Wennyie Konyak RC Nagaland House Delhi as the guest of honour of the opening ceremony.
A press release NSUD general secretary , Jepito Chishi stated that Wennyie Konyak, RC Nagaland House Delhi, in his address, lauded officials for taking up the initiative to organize the sports week. He said that it was not only wining that is glory glory but it is a unity as one Naga and to know other tribes better through the occasion.
He further encouraged the gathering to actively participate, adding that it was okay to lose because the best thing is that they are making new friends. President NSUD, Yaorei Horam, in his welcome address, said that in today’s world where divisiness seems to be on the rise, sports serves as a powerful catalyst for unity and understanding as they embark on the journey of athletic competition. Earlier, the opening ceremony was hosted by Kivikali Yeptho gen secy.
SKKD, invocation pronounced by Kegalo Semy, pastor RCF Delhi; special songs were presented by Gifty Shohe PRS NSUD, Victoria Veisanai RK; the oath administered by Rikho Chakhre Sports Secy NSUD; and benediction by Thenuhu Lohe pastor Chakesang Church Delhi. The 57th annual sports week was kicked open by the chief guest P.N Khrimey , Jt CP SPUNER & SPUWA.
