Naga thali challenge and Cosplay competition held at Sovima

The Native Trax Society (NTS) organized the first ever Naga thali challenge on December 3 at Nagaland bamboo resource centre, Sovima, Chümoukedima.
In a press release, NTS informed that the event was held as part of the Hornbill Festival under the theme ‘Dangerously Delicious’ to promote and put the spotlight on unique Naga cuisine to help boost tourism and present Nagaland as a unique destination.
The eating competition witnessed 8 contestants pitted against one another in their bid to finish a huge ethnic Naga meal. Akhar emerged as the champion finishing the huge meal in a time of 13 minutes and 57 seconds and won a cash prize of Rs. 10,000/-
The Naga thali challenge was organised in collaboration with NBDA and department of tourism, Nagaland and was also supported by TaFMA, Techno Music India, Cinescope, Red box, Loreni Wardrobe, Myriad Branding (Branding Partner) & Hills FM (Radio Partner).
The other event of the day was a Cosplay competition in collaboration with Dimapur Anime Guild.
This event saw 10 cosplayers presenting their best costumes and performances of anime characters. Rongsenyala I Jamir cosplaying as Yuuko Ichihara was announced winner and received the cash prize of Rs. 15000/-
