Naga United Village Council (NUVC) has strongly condemned the alleged abduction of a staff member of M/s Kibami Enterprise from his residence at Naga United Village on March 12, 2026, around 11 pm by unknown persons, who later demanded ransom for his release.
In a press release, Naga United Village Council described the act of violence as “utterly unacceptable” in any civilized society.
The council stated that such incidents were creating an atmosphere of fear and insecurity among residents and appealed to all right-thinking citizens to jointly condemn the crime.
Meanwhile, NUVC has expressed appreciation to the Diphupar police team for their prompt and effective response, which resulted in the arrest of the perpetrators within two hours of the incident. NUVC has demanded strict punishment to the perpetrators in accordance with the law to serve as a deterrent and prevent similar occurrences in the future.
Reaffirming its stand, the council reiterated its commitment to the “one tax, one government” principle, as resolved in 2014. It appealed to the Government of India to expedite the ongoing Naga political talks at the earliest and bring long-lasting solution.
