Business Association of Nagas (BAN) has lauded the Home Minister and Nagaland Police, led by the DGP, for their swift and transparent crackdown on the NSCN-K (Khango-Vusshe) faction. In a press release, BAN hailed the arrest of key operatives behind recent abduction and extortion incidents as a decisive victory for justice and public security. The association said the action restored confidence in law enforcement and reflected principled leadership long awaited by the business community.
BAN also lauded Western Sumi frontal organisations for their ultimatum demanding accountability, calling it a reminder that the Naga public seeks truth and responsibility amid complex socio-political realities.
BAN stressed that the Naga struggle was rooted in dignity, not exploitation, declaring that “extortion is not resistance, intimidation is not revolution, and kidnapping is not nationalism.”
Acknowledging the apology issued by the group involved, BAN reiterated that coercion and abduction undermine progress, insisting Naga forefathers fought for freedom, unity, and development-not exploitation.
BAN also welcomed the government’s move to introduce city-wide CCTV surveillance under a Public-Private Partnership framework, crediting the DGP’s leadership for addressing long-standing demands. BAN urged hohos, civic bodies, and CSOs to speak firmly against those harming society and the economy.
