Nagaland 15 IR Mahila Band in Top 10 at IGT

The IRB Mahila Battalion Band of the 15th NAP from Nagaland continue to shine in the national limelight at one of India’s biggest reality shows “India’s Got Talent” Season 10 with their mesmerizing performances. The band was placed in Top 10 during the last performance aired on Sunday at Sony Entertainment Television.


The band continues to win hearts from the judges, host and people across the country. The band has received three golden buzzers from judge rapper Badshah and one golden buzzer from Kiron Kher.
It may be mentioned that there were 12 members in the band, however, 3 members were not able to make it to India’s Got Talent’ due to personal reasons.


At present, there are 10 members, out of which 8 members take the stage, one in stand and their guide (In-charge). The band members are: Hav’ R. Shoyanla on Acoustic & Backing vocal; Hav’ Tonchingsangla on Bassist; C/N Sashitsungla – Guitarist; C/N Inaholi – Rhythm & Backing vocal; C/N Wetsolo-ü Lomi – Keys; C/N Tolito Shohe – Vocalist; NCE Nokmalemla – Vocalist; C/N Sanenla – Temporing; C/N Epfutsutshou: Keys (Standby) and ABSI Ng. Saka Band I/C.


The band has undergone rigorous 3 rounds of auditions with the first live audition held in Delhi in the month of April. Following the live audition in Delhi, the band was called to Mumbai for another round of audition, wherein they earned their first golden buzzer from Badshah which took them directly into Top 14.
In a conversation with Nagaland Post, the band members briefly shared their experiences throughout their journey beginning from day one.


The band members shared that their journey to IGT began with the support from their Director General of Police (DGP) Rupin Sharma, officers and all ranks & files of Nagaland Police.


Disclosing their journey which involve ups and downs, they shared that at the outset, they underwent three online auditions and got selected and were called up for Delhi audition. Subsequently, they were then selected received call from IGT team for Mumbai audition in the month of June. The band members thanked their Almighty God for being able to come this far.


They revealed that they have gone through so many ups and downs especially with the language barrier, food habits where they have to undergo rigorous practices but expressed excitement that they have been learning new things everyday since the inception of their IGT journey.


The married band members also applauded their husbands for their constant support and taking care of their children and family. To a query on how it feels to be performing in-front of prominent Bollywood personalities, they said that it was both frightening and exhilarating at the same time.


The members have expressed that they feel proud and honoured to be praised by all the judges, viewers not only from Nagaland but from entire country.


The band members further appealed the citizens for their continued support and make them win the prestigious title by voting for the band. The voting line will be opened on Saturday and Sunday night where voters can vote through Sony Liv App from their mobile phones.
