Nagaland 16th Jalukie Valley Open football tourney from Dec 8

The Jalukie Valley Youth Organisation (JVYO) has announced that the 16th edition of the Jalukie Valley Open Football Tournament will commence on December 8, at the Samziuram local ground.
Widely regarded as one of the premier football tournaments in Peren, the event continues to be a vital platform for emerging football talents. The JVYO has called upon young and skilled local players to participate and gain exposure to higher levels of competition, in line with its mission to promote local talent and provide meaningful opportunities.
The JVYO has enhanced the prize pool for this year’s tournament. The champion will receive Rs. 2,00,000, while the runner-up will be awarded Rs. 1,00,000. Individual accolades including the Golden Boot, Golden Glove, and Player of the Tournament will each carry a cash prize of Rs. 5,000. Trophies and certificates will also be presented to recognize outstanding performances. The entry fee for each team is set at Rs. 5,000. Entry forms will be available from November 7 at Mpom Pharmacy, Jalukie Town, for a fee of Rs. 100. Participating teams are requested to collect the forms and confirm their entries with JVYO officials and executives. The JVYO also expressed regret over the inability to host the tournament in recent years and reaffirmed its commitment to eventually organizing the event on a turf ground, with efforts underway to realize this vision.
