Nagaland 3 UTPs escape from Mokokchung district jail

Correspondent MOKOKCHUNG, OCT 30 (NPN)

Three male Under Trial Prisoners (UTPs) escaped from the District Jail, Mokokchung, in the early hours of Thursday morning.
According to sources, the trio escaped around 3:30 a.m. by scaling the jail wall using makeshift clothing. It was learnt that the escapees had been transferred from District Jail, Wokha, on August 21, 2025.
An FIR has been registered at Police Station-I, Mokokchung, and search operations are underway.
Particulars of the escapees– Sukur Ali (20 yrs), S/o Ibad Ali of Kherbari village under Golaghat district; Roshida Ali (26 yrs), S/o Ibad Ali, of Kherbari village, Golaghat district and Habibulla Islam (21 yrs), S/o Mohamad Fakhruddin, of Gorukuti village under Morigaon district. Till the filing of this report, the three UTPs remained at large.
