The 3rd annual sports meet 2025 of Gorkha Students’ Union Chümoukedima District (GSUCD) kicked off at 1st NAP Ground, Chümoukedima, hosted by Chümoukedima Town Gorkha Youth. The four-day event commenced with enthusiasm and high spirits, celebrating sports, unity and youth empowerment.
The inaugural programme was graced by Atu Zumvu, ACP West Dimapur, as special guest, and Prem Kumar Thapa, general secretary of Nagaland Gorkha Association, as guest of honour. Both dignitaries highlighted the importance of sports in shaping discipline, teamwork and leadership among the youth. They emphasized the role of physical fitness and sporting activities in nurturing positive values and strengthening community bonds.
The sports meet will continue till December 31, featuring a range of competitions designed to foster sportsmanship, discipline and unity among the youth.
