Nagaland: 6th North East TB and chest diseases 2-day conference held at CIHSR

DIMAPUR

The 6th North East TB and Chest Diseases Conference 2025 was held at the Christian Institute of Health Sciences and Research (CIHSR) on November 29 and 30. The event was organized by the TB Association of North East India in collaboration with CIHSR and was attended by about 200 delegates from across the country.
A press release by director, Dr. Sedevi Angami stated that the conference brought together stalwarts in the field from different parts of India and provided an academic feast for delegates.
The health minister of Sikkim, G.T. Dhungel, and the deputy speaker of the Assam Assembly, Dr. Numal Momin, attended the conference as special guests. The keynote address was delivered by the TB Association of North East India, Secretary, Dr. Bamin Tada.
Discussions during the two-day event focused on challenges in TB elimination, gaps, barriers, and strategies.
