Nagaland: 7th Hornbill Darts Masters 2025 showcases national talent in Kohima

The 7th Hornbill Darts Masters 2025, held as part of the 26th edition of the Hornbill Festival, concluded at RCEMPA, Jotsoma, from December 5 to 7. Organized by Fun Tree Crew (FTC) under the aegis of the Indian Darts Council (IDC), the championship witnessed high-octane competition, national-level participation and remarkable sportsmanship.
In the FTC Open Singles, Champion: Ankit Goenka (West Bengal) – Rs. 50,000; Runner-up: Mohan Kumar Goel (West Bengal) – Rs. 30,000; Joint 3rd: Vikehelie Suohu (Nagaland) & Vikash Jhajharia (West Bengal) – Rs. 10,000 each; Joint 5th: Kezhaletuo Semou (Nagaland), Kikruneizo Zatsu (Nagaland), Viral Mehta (West Bengal), Shailender Dixit (Mumbai) – Rs. 2,500 each.
In IDC National Ranking (Men’s Singles), 1st: Ankit Goenka (West Bengal) – Rs. 10,000; Runner-up: Shailender Dixit (Maharashtra) – Rs. 5,000; Joint 3rd: Vidhul Goenka & Mohan Kumar Goel (West Bengal) – Rs. 3,000 each.
In the Draw Doubles, Winners: Harsh Dalmiya (West Bengal) & Kekhrieselie Pienyü – Rs. 10,000; Runners-up: Vikehelie Suohu & Viyhodelie Rame – Rs. 6,000; Joint 3rd: Ankit Goenka & Ashim Upadhyay (Assam), Pushan Sen & Vidhul Goenka (West Bengal) – Rs. 3,000 each.
In the Team Event, Champion: Excalibur (West Bengal) – Rs. 1,00,000 (Team: Viral Mehta, Harsh Dalmiya, Rahul Barman, Kezhabu Suohu); Runner-up: Dartknight (West Bengal) – Rs. 52,000; Team: Tamim, Chirag Daga, Vikuovolie Keyho, Kori; Joint 3rd: FLY (Dimapur) – Ankit Goenka, Mahi Bosmia, Simon Angami, Viboto H. Swu; Predators (Kohima) – Vikehelie Suohu, K. L. Meren, Khriebu Meyase, Vikethozo Kuotsu – Rs. 14,000 each; In the Individual Awards, Most 180s (7 each): Ankit Goenka & Vikehelie Suohu – Rs. 6,000 (shared); Best Leg: Vikehelie Suohu (11-darter) – Rs. 6,000; Highest Checkout: Viral Mehta & Kori – Rs. 6,000 (shared).
The championship featured 48 participants from Maharashtra, Assam, West Bengal, and host state Nagaland. Joint secretary of IDC, Piyush Bosmia, was chief technical official, overseeing live scoring, online streaming, digital draw brackets and player auction systems.
The event was supported by the Government of Nagaland, Tourism Department, Task Force for Music & Arts and IDC, with partners including Cosmos Darts, Winmau, 2K Hotel, HIREATAB, Zumvu Printex, Nagaland Darts Association, Dynamic School of Darts, Team One Nagaland, Phezhu Youth Organisation, LG Library Enterprise, Café Dazzle, Crystal Network, Dart Connect, Nagaland Two Wheeler Taxi Association, and Jung Jathy Creatif.
