The 9th Auto & MotoX, held alongside the Northeast Championship Round 2026, commenced at the Imkongmeren Sports Complex, Mokokchung, on February 6 and will conclude on February 7. The two-day motorsport event is being organised by the Adventure and Motorsports Association Mokokchung (AMAM) and features a prize pool of Rs. 3.50 lakh, along with trophies and certificates.
Serving as a key round of the Northeast Championship 2026, the event has drawn competitors from motor clubs across Nagaland and neighbouring Northeastern states. The AutoX segment was flagged off in the morning by District Transport Officer (DTO) Mon, Imkumwapang, while the MotoX segment began at noon under the patronage of managing director LL Group, Nagaland, Longden Longkumer. Autocross competitions are being contested under three categories—Open, Below 1300cc and SUV. The Below 1300cc category has attracted 24 participants, the open category 25, and the SUV category 10. Meanwhile, the MotoX competitions are being held in two categories: Beginner, with 10 entrants, and Open, with 8 riders. In total, 33 participants are competing in the Northeast Championship round.
The event will conclude on February 7 with a prize distribution ceremony, which will be graced by advisor, Social Welfare, Wangpang Konyak, as the special guest.
