The Ato Area Sports Association (AASA) concluded its 39th GB’s Football Trophy, 36th Lt. Nikhekhu & Lt. Yihoto Memorial Volleyball (men and women), and 11th Lt. Shekuto Suu Memorial Badminton (men and women) at Nihokhu village on January 15. The four-day event began on January 12 with Er. Ahoto Zhimomi as chief guest and Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Zunheboto, Dr. Anitoli Suu, as guest of honour.
The tournament witnessed spirited participation across disciplines, with Hozukhe Village dominating football, volleyball, and women’s badminton, while Nihokhu Village secured the men’s badminton title.
In football, Hozukhe Village emerged as the champion, while Ghokuto Village secured the 1st runner-up. The Player of the Tournament was bagged by Hinoto (Hozukhe Team), Hat-trick by Holloto (Toshiho Team), Toka (Hozukhe Team); Highest Goal Scorer by Toka (Hozukhe Team); Best Defender by Hino (Ghokuto Team); Best Goalkeeper by Ghokivi (Nikhekhu Team).
In the volleyball (Men), Hozukhe Village clinched the championship title while Sukhato Village was the first runners-up. The best spiker was bagged by Aghapu (Hozukhe Team).
In volleyball (Women), Hozukhe Village was the champion while Sukhato Village secured the first runners-up. The best player was bagged by Alokali Zhimomi (Hozukhe Team).
In badminton (Men), Nihokhu Village emerged as the champion while Sukhato Village was the first runners-up. The best player was bagged by Kihika Aqomi (Sukhato Team).
In badminton (Women), Hozukhe Village was the champion while Toshiho Village secured the 1st runner-up.
