Nagaland ADG NCC (NER) visits Kohima; lauds outreach initiatives

Additional Director General (ADG) of NCC, North Eastern Region, Maj Gen Anurag Vij, undertook a three-day visit to NCC Group Headquarters, Kohima, from November 11 to 13, 2025.
During the visit, cadets presented a guard of honour to the visiting officer, who commended them for their immaculate drill standards and interacted with them. The Group Commander briefed the ADG on various NCC activities in Nagaland, particularly efforts to expand outreach in remote and interior areas of the state.
Maj Gen Vij appreciated the Kohima Group for organising Border Outreach Camps under the Vibrant Village initiative by the 25 Nagaland Battalion NCC in border districts such as Noklak, Mon, and Kiphire. He lauded the cadets’ engagement with villagers to raise awareness on government welfare schemes. Commanding Officers of the Kohima Group NCC battalions briefed the ADG on their respective training activities.Maj Gen Vij also visited the 1 Nagaland Air Squadron, where he inspected air training assets and observed cadet flying activities. He later visited Tsitikhema in Chümoukedima, where land has been earmarked by the state government for the proposed NCC Training Academy. The Deputy Group Commander briefed him on the current status and plans for the academy.
