Nagaland: AICF Chess for Everyone FIDE Rating Open Chess

DIMAPUR, JAN 19 (NPN)

The Inter-School Chess Association, Ngwalwa Circle (ISCA-NC), Peren, under the aegis of the Nagaland Chess Association (NCA) and the All India Chess Federation (AICF) is organizing “AICF Chess for Everyone FIDE Rating Open Chess Tournament 2026” from February 10 to 14 at the Ngwalwa Village Council Hall, Peren district.
The tournament, aimed at promoting competitive chess in the state, will be the second FIDE-rated chess event ever held in Nagaland, marking a significant milestone in the growth of the sport. Chess players from across the state are invited to participate.
The championship will be conducted in a 9-round Swiss League format with a time control of 90 minutes plus 30 seconds increment per move.
