AKM to conduct ILP & census card renewal, registration from Nov 20

The Ao Students’ Conference (AKM) has announced that renewals and registrations for Inner Line Permit (ILP) and AKM census cards for all non-locals residing in Mokokchung district would be done from November 20 to 28 at AKM conference hall between 10 am and 4 pm.

AKM vice-president Onenpong in a press release appealed to all ward chairmen, village councils and employers as well the guarantors concerned to ensure that all the non-locals residing within their respective jurisdiction were duly registered during the stipulated time.

As the infiltration of illegal immigrants not only posed an imminent threat to the indigenous inhabitants of Nagaland but also the cultural perseverance and identity of Nagas as a whole, he said the AKM expected continued cooperation from the administration and support from all citizens of Mokokchung district.

Mentioning that there would be intensive checking after the stipulated date, he warned that those found without proper documents during inspection would be deported immediately.
He said ILP (renewed), AKM census card, guarantor along with photo (one photo each for every guarantee), and no objection certificate (NOC) from ward/village council chairman with house owner’s name, house number, name of tenant and ward/sector seal and signature of the competent authority would be required as documents for the purpose of renewals and registration.

Onenpong warned that if any individual was found with forged documents, he or she would be liable for further legal actions and consequences, whereby the guarantors concerned would be held solely responsible.

Further, he declared that apart from their own personal documents for renewal/registration, no individual’s (guarantor/employer) bulking documents/cards would be entertained.
