Nagaland: Annalia beauty launches new makeup line in Dimapur

Staff Reporter

Annalia Beauty Private Limited, Nagaland’s first home-grown beauty brand, on Tuesday launched two new products—Kohl Drama Kajal and Pro Sculpt Contour Stick at an event held at Viva Complex, 3rd Mile, Dimapur.
The launch was attended by advisor for Industries and Commerce, Hekani Jakhalu, who lauded the brand’s growth as a woman-led and funded startup, calling it a significant step in placing Nagaland on India’s beauty and wellness map.
Praising the brand’s ethos of “Women support women,” Hekani Jakhalu lauded Zhimomi as a creative, driven entrepreneur and mentor. She described the product launch as a “fantastic initiative” and commended Zhimomi for nurturing her team and empowering young women at her academy, ensuring that empowerment remains a core mission beyond business goals.
Reflecting on Zhimomi’s journey, Jakhalu noted that despite coming from a privileged background, she chose the challenging path of entrepreneurship—launching a business model never seen before in Nagaland. “Doing business is tough, and we often speak about entrepreneurship too casually,” she remarked, adding that younger generations are now beginning to understand what it truly takes.
Applauding Zhimomi’s national-level startup fund win, Jakhalu called it a testament to her strong business model, compliance, and professional management—proof that passion and professionalism can go hand in hand.
Founder and creative director, Annalia Zhimomi described the launch as a milestone not only for the company but also for the state’s emerging creative and entrepreneurial ecosystem. She said Annalia Beauty was established with the vision of showcasing Nagaland at the national level while encouraging local talent and enterprise, adding that the brand is among the few women-led funded startups from the state.
Speaking about the products, Zhimomi said the Pro Sculpt Contour Stick features a universally flattering, easy-to-blend formula suitable for all skin tones, while the Kohl Drama Kajal offers long-lasting, smudge-proof and waterproof performance.
She noted that the brand’s strength lies in its understanding of Northeast Indian facial features. “Northeast women often have flatter facial structures and fuller cheeks. Our products are designed to be simple, inclusive and address those needs,” she said, adding that the contour stick was developed as a single-shade solution suitable for all skin tones and skin types.
Zhimomi also revealed that both products are Made in India, developed after Annalia Beauty’s win at the MSME Women Hackathon, and crafted using organic and vegan ingredients.
