The All Nagaland Taxi Association (ANTA) Wokha Unit organised a Christmas Carol programme on December 14, beginning from the Public Ground, Wokha, with carolling carried out in and around Wokha town. The programme was attended by ANTA Wokha Unit family members and members of the All Commercial Vehicle Association Wokha.
As part of the programme, the association distributed coffee and cakes to police personnel on duty and members of the public as a gesture of gratitude for their service.
Addressing the gathering, ANTA Wokha Unit president T. Renbemo Kikon extended warm Christmas greetings. Highlighting the role of taxi drivers and operators, he said ANTA members spend long hours on the road serving the people of Wokha and beyond, carrying passengers safely and sharing in their journeys. He added that through the Christmas carolling, members were also spreading the message of goodwill, kindness and unity in the community.
Kikon expressed hope that the carols would bring joy to everyone and help strengthen both the association and the community. He thanked ANTA members and their families for their dedication and service throughout the year and encouraged them to continue serving the public with humility, care and responsibility.
He concluded by wishing everyone a blessed Christmas and prayed for safety, peace and prosperity in the coming New Year. The programme concluded with fellowship and refreshments.
