Nagaland: AR flags in NIT for students of Meluri

Assam Rifles flagged in the 15-day National Integration Tour (NIT) for 20 students and four teachers from GMS and GHSS, Meluri, on October 13 at Kohima. As part of the tour the students visited Bangalore, Belgaum and Delhi.


In the first phase students visited Bengaluru, where they visited the National Military Memorial, the grand Bangalore Palace, the National Gallery of Modern Art, Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium, Lal Bagh Botanical Garden, and Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace.

In the second phase students visited Belgaum, where they gained firsthand experience of the training standards of the Indian Army at the Commando School, Belgaum. The final stop of the tour was New Delhi, where the students visited the historical India Gate and the inspirational National War Memorial.
