Assam Rifles inaugurated a newly constructed Water Storage Tank in Mengujuma Village, in Kohima, on December 27, 2025 as part of Operation Sadbhavana, a long-standing initiative aimed at improving the quality of life in remote and underserved regions.
According to Assam Rifles, the project was conceived to provide the villagers with a dependable and sustainable source of water, addressing the persistent issue of scarcity that has affected the community for many years. The new water storage facility is expected to significantly ease the daily challenges faced by residents, particularly during dry seasons when water availability becomes limited. By ensuring a steady supply of clean water, the project will not only support household needs but also contribute to better sanitation, improved health and enhanced agricultural activities in the village. During the inauguration, the villagers expressed gratitude to Assam Rifles for understanding their needs and delivering an infrastructure project that will have a long-term positive impact on their lives.
