Nagaland Art & Culture Dept unveils festive lineup for Hornbill 2025

Department of Art & Culture has announced various activities for this year’s Hornbill Festival, to be held from December 1 to 10 under the theme “Cultural Connect.”
In a press release by Art and Culture, Kohima, Director, Adęla Moa stated that the department will take up the following activities during the festival, including daily cultural performances at the main arena, featuring 18 cultural troupes from within the state showcasing folk dances, songs, indigenous games, demonstration of rituals and folk dramas.
The Artists’ Corner/Art Fair located at the World War-II Museum premises in Kisama, will include activities such as art shows, artist talks, Art demonstrations, interactive workshops, art installations, an art market, artisan booths, Art Pavilion Exhibition and Art Battles and cultural Art show.
The Archives Branch will host an exhibition titled “First 50 Years of British Administration in Naga Hills.” It will also include departmental publications based on research documentation, Monographs of historians, dictionaries of some local communities, Naga Customary Practices and Usages, archaeological publications, available for book lovers in the Exhibition Hall at World War-II Complex. The World War-II Museum in Kisama, showcasing war relics and artifacts, will be open to visitors from 10 am to 4 pm during the festival. Meanwhile, the State Museum in Kohima will remain open to the public on all working days from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm.
