Nagaland Assistive devices distributed at Noksen

DIMAPUR

Free assistive devices including wheelchairs, crutches, hearing aids, etc., were distributed to Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) and senior citizens of Noksen sub-division, Tuensang district, on November 25, 2025, at the office premises of SDO (C), Noksen by MLA Lima Onen.
According to a DIPR report, the Department of Social Welfare and the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Tuensang, in collaboration with the Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO), initiated the distribution programme with Lima Onen as the special guest.
Speaking on the occasion, the MLA appreciated the Department of Health & Family Welfare and the Social Welfare Department, headed by the CMO and DWO, Tuensang, for providing facilities to the needy citizens of Noksen sub-division. He also thanked ALIMCO for assisting the underprivileged and making their lives easier. Advising citizens to abstain from tobacco and liquor, he encouraged them to adopt healthy lifestyles.
Phuniang Khiamniungan, SDO (C), in his short speech, also expressed gratitude to ALIMCO, the CMO, and the DWO, Tuensang, for going the extra mile to help the neediest people of the area.
In his address, the CMO, Tuensang, highlighted statistics on the total number of beneficiaries in the Noksen area.
