Nagaland Athletes make mark at World Nomad Games 2026

KOHIMA, SEP 6 (NPN): Three athletes from the Nagaland Strongman and Fitness Association (NSFA) represented India at the 6th World Nomad Games 2026 in Kyrgyzstan, making a commendable debut on the international stage.
The team was headed by Vizovolie Rame, Publicity Secretary, NSFA, who served as the team manager. It marked the association’s first representation for India after receiving affiliation from the India Mas Wrestling Federation.
Despite competing at the international level for the first time, the Nagaland athletes put up a commendable performance and secured respectable rankings for India.
Results:
Vekhonielü Cürha – Mas Wrestling, Women’s 55 kg: 6th
Kekhriesetuo Mechülho – Mas Wrestling, Men’s 90 kg: 11th
Rükukhoto Khesoh – Mas Wrestling, Men’s 90+ kg: 17th

The Nagaland Strongman and Fitness Association expressed its sincere gratitude to the chief minister of Nagaland for sponsoring the team and enabling the athletes to participate in the prestigious international event.
The association also extended its appreciation to the India Mas Wrestling Federation, Department of Youth Resources and Sports, Government of Nagaland and all well-wishers for their support and encouragement.
