Nagaland attempted bank robbery thwarted in Kohima

DIMAPUR, OCT 31 (NPN)

A brazen attempted armed robbery was thwarted at the State Bank of India (SBI) Chedema branch in Kohima Friday at 12.30 p.m..
Kohima Police PRO said an unidentified male, armed with a pistol, entered the bank demanding money and threatening to detonate a body-worn explosive. Swift and courageous intervention by bank guards prevented the robbery. The suspect managed to escape but the guards successfully recovered the entire looted amount and seized the pistol. A case has been registered with the North Police Station.
