An awareness session on “Digital Drain: How to Protect Your Peace in a Hyper-Connected World” was held at Manekshaw Auditorium, Rangapahar Military Station, under the aegis of Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA) Spear Corps, focusing on the impact of excessive digital use on mental well-being and family life .
According to a press release issued by the PRO & spokesperson, Ministry of Defence, the session was graced by the zonal president of AWWA and conducted by a community medicine specialist from Spear Healers.
The talk highlighted the growing dependence on smartphones and the internet among men, women, and children, and offered practical, mindful strategies to restore balance in daily routines.
The interactive session witnessed enthusiastic participation from 129 Army Wives Welfare Association members and children, who appreciated the engaging and relatable approach to the topic.
The programme concluded with a message encouraging families to use technology as a means of connection rather than distraction, reaffirming AWWA’s commitment to the holistic well-being of army families.
