Nagaland based Startups win awards at NE Startup Summit

Six Nagaland based Startups won awards in various categories at the Northeast Startup Summit held at Taj Vivanta, Guwahati on January 29. The summit was organised by North Eastern Council (NEC), in association with IIM Calcutta Innovation Park.


Startups from Nagaland which won the awards included- Online Express Nagaland, Ilandlo Services Pvt. Ltd and Jack of Few Trades in the incubation category and Ngurie Organic Pvt. Ltd , Ahibo Pvt. Ltd. and Gracious Handloom under Pre-incubation category.


The selection was done through North East Entrepreneurship Challenge (Hunt) organised across all the eight states of North East, which was to identify a target group of 270 entrepreneurs through a systematic, transparent selection process ensuring representation from each state.
More than 2000+ Startup file an application out of which 120 were selected from Incubation and 150 Startup from Pre-incubation.


It was also informed that startups were taken through incubation (for revenue stage startups) and pre-incubation (for pre revenue stage startups) programs – which help them to commercialize and grow their businesses through five boot camps held across different venues in Guwahati over a period of more than a year. The event also brought together more than 500 startup founders from Northeast India, providing a platform for interaction, networking and collaboration.
