Nagaland Bhojpuri Samaj (NBS) organized its 13th felicitation programme on Sunday at Durga Mandir Hall, Dimapur, under the theme “Honouring Excellence, Inspiring Futures.”
At the event, 13 HSLC and HSSLC toppers, subject toppers, and a Chartered Accountant were felicitated for their outstanding academic achievements.
Advisor of Tribal Affairs and Elections, H Tovihoto Ayemi, who graced the event as special guest, praised the students for their hard work and dedication, acknowledging the challenges they faced, including late-night studies, early mornings, exam pressure, and high expectations. He encouraged them to keep striving for success, reminding them that this was just the beginning of their journey. Tovihoto urged students to believe in themselves, set their own goals, and pursue their passions. He emphasized that success was not measured solely by marks or medals and that young people have the power to bring change, start businesses, and follow their dreams. He also reminded the Bhojpuri Samaj of its responsibility to safeguard and guide the community’s younger generation.
Recognizing Dimapur as a cosmopolitan city, Ayemi highlighted the importance of unity, peace, and mutual encouragement among different communities. He advised the students to work hard, stay kind, remain curious, trust their instincts, and never stop believing in their potential.
The programme was chaired by Uma Shankar Tiwari, with a welcome address by NBS president Rajeev Singh, a brief report on NBS activities by former president Pramod Singh, and a vote of thanks by Dilip Sharma, chairman of the 13th Felicitation Committee.
