BJP 39-AC mandal office was inaugurated and the Atmanirbhar Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan was held at 39 Sanis Mandal on Thursday.
A press release by president of BJP Wokha, Rhanbemo Odyuo, and vice president, press / social media in charge, M James Tungoe, stated that Rhanbemo Odyuo, president of BJP Wokha, inaugurated the new office of Sanis 39 Mandal. In his inaugural speech, Rhanbemo Odyuo congratulated the Sanis 39 mandals for establishing their office despite numerous challenges and financial constraints.
Odyuo emphasized the importance of hard work and dedication, citing the example of Pius Lotha, a pioneer of BJP in Nagaland who contested the MP election in the 90’s from Lakhuti Village, 39 Mandal. He also highlighted the achievements of deputy CM Y Patton, who has been contesting from 37 AC and has brought development to all the constituencies.
Odyuo expressed hope that one day, a BJP candidate from this constituency will achieve victory and shine for the Lothas. He urged the gathering to put in more effort and not be lazy, emphasizing that BJP has many activities lined up and that following state and national initiatives will motivate them and improve their leadership skills.
Several prominent leaders like Nongothung Kikon, Sr. VP BJP, wokha unit, emphasized the importance of understanding BJP’s guidelines and working system and urged party karyakartas to commit to the betterment of society and take responsibility without fail. Ekonthung Kikon, President 37 Tyui AC, congratulated the 39 Sanis AC for setting up a new office, which he termed as one of the first kind at the Mandal level in Wokha district. He hoped that the new office would lead to the enrolment of new members and looked forward to a BJP legislatures leader from the constituency.
Jenithung Lotha, president 38 Wokha AC, attributed the establishment of the office to the efforts of present leaders. He expressed optimism that together, they could achieve great things.
Nzano P Kikon, Deputy chairperson WTC, was overwhelmed by the grand establishment of the new office despite the constituency not having its own legislatures. She acknowledged potential obstacles but expressed confidence in the sincerity and dedication of office bearers. She encouraged everyone to support and cooperate to make BJP grow at the grassroots level.
The inauguration ceremony was a significant milestone for the Sanis 39 Mandal chaired by Mhademo Lotha, G/S, 39 AC. The office dedication was performed by Rev. Khodao Mozhui, Pastor, Hachang Baptist Church.
Rhanbemo Odyuo, President BJP Wokha, hoisted the flag, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the party in the constituency. Nzano P Kikon, deputy chairperson, WTC, cut the ribbon, officially opening the office. The BJP office was sponsored by Benjamin Yepthomi, state president, who had generously paid the house rent till December.
During the programme, John Patton was inducted as secretary, marking a new addition to the team.
The programme was attended by BJP office bearers, BJP councillors Wokha & Bhandari, and State office bearers among others.
The second session of the programme featured the Atmanirbhar Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan Vidhansabha Sammelan, with a keynote address by Rentsamo P Jami, State Council.
Jami highlighted the party’s humble beginnings in the Mandal, starting with just a few members, and its growth to its current strength. He credited the Hon’ble Dy CM for the party’s progress and expressed enthusiasm for continued collaboration.
The BJP Wokha Unit stated that it would also like to extend special gratitude to L Zaremo Kikon, Convenor State Atmanirbhar Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan for supporting us in making all the program succesful. The session culminated with all karyakartas taking the Atmanirbhar pledge, chaired by Yanthanshan Yanthan, IT Cell convenor, 39 Sanis AC Mandal, and member, Atmanirbhar.
