Bor Lengri Lotha Baptist Church (BLLBC) held its biennial women’s sports meet at the church premises on Saturday, drawing enthusiastic participation from members and youth for a day of spirited competition and fellowship.
The event featured volleyball and football penalty shootout tournaments. In volleyball, Team Yankho-D emerged victorious, while Team F secured the runner-up position after a closely contested final. In the football shootout, Team Yankho-E clinched the top spot, followed by Yankho-F in second place.
Speaking at the occasion, associate pastor Mhonchumo Tungu underscored the importance of unity and collective strength. “Let’s stand together and shine together. We all have different talents and roles, but the strength of standing together is what truly matters,” he said.
Quoting Apostle Paul, Tungu reminded participants that success is rooted in mutual support and teamwork. “Encourage your teammates and rejoice together, for one is better when supported by many,” he added. The biennial meet aims to promote healthy competition, teamwork, and strengthen bonds within the church community.
