Nagaland Board of School Education organizes ‘Career and Tech Fair’

Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE), in collaboration with Alpine Concern, organised a ‘Career & Tech Fair’ on November 4 at Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Kohima, to promote career guidance and technological awareness among students of classes 10 and 12.
Special guest, director of technical education, Er. Vipulhou Lhoungu emphasized the critical role of innovation in shaping the future and that the students stand at a unique crossroads, faced with limitless paths and countless opportunities.
“It is precisely at such a juncture that programs like this are essential for providing career counselling,” he said.
Highlighting the pervasive nature of technology, he noted, “The world is changing rapidly, and technology is now actively woven into the fabric of our lives.”
He elaborated that technology is not merely a tool but a “creative canvas” that demonstrates how young people can be creators, not just consumers. He urged the youth to leverage technology to solve problems and build a better future.
Lhoungu affirmed that career guidance is a vital instrument in helping students create their own destinies. He applauded the event’s organizers for their hard work and dedication, stating that such initiatives are instrumental in shaping students’ futures. He also assured that the department of education is ready to extend its full support for any guidance or clarification students may require.
In conclusion, he advised the students not be afraid to be limitless in all that they do, and commit all their work to the Lord.”
The fair provided students with an opportunity to interact directly with representatives from various universities, discuss study options, clarify admission requirements, and gather information on scholarships and application procedures.
The tech segment of the fair featured live demonstrations of 3D printing models, drones, plotter machines, robotic arms, and battle bots, designed to spark curiosity and introduce students to 21st-century skills essential for a technology-driven future.
