Nagaland boxers compete in 4th U-15 Sub Junior National Boxing C’ship

DIMAPUR, AUG 17 (NPN)

Seven young boxers from Nagaland participated in the 4th U-15 Sub Junior Boys National Boxing Championship 2025, held in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, from August 7 to 13. The weeklong event witnessed over 700 participants from across the country, with Haryana emerging as the overall team champion in both boys and girls categories.
Nagaland’s contingent comprised four girls – Diethoneino, Senthunglo T. Jami, Likupu S. Shohe, and Marcy Tungoe and three boys – Kevingulir Rio, Shachu Konyak, and Senkathung Y. Kithan. The team was led by coach Kevibu Kapfo and returned home safely on Saturday after completing their matches.
Team manager K.K. Nagi expressed appreciation to the Directorate of Youth Resources and Sports, Nagaland for their support in facilitating the team’s participation.
“I am grateful for their contributions to nurturing the young generation of boxers and creating opportunities for them to compete at the national level. We look forward to more such opportunities for our talented boxers in the future,” Nagi stated.
