Nagaland: BPCC(A-N) reviews border incidents, plans medical camp

DIMAPUR

Border Peace Coordination Committee (Assam-Nagaland) [BPCC(A-N)] held its annual general meeting-cum-get together on Saturday, where members reviewed incidents in border areas, redressal mechanisms adopted during the past year, and presented the annual general report along with a review of the BPCC(A-N) Constitution.
The meeting was held at Gandhi M.E. School, Bhagyalakhi, in Titabar-Changpang Circle near the Assam-Nagaland border, and was attended by members from Changpang, Titabar, Mokokchung and Mariani areas.
The programme began with a religious chorus by Gandhi M.E. School students, followed by invocation of God’s grace by Rev. Huni Gogoi, executive secretary of Assam Valley Baptist Association.
Members also discussed and approved the initiation of a free medical camp to be sponsored by Apollo Hospital Group and Chandraprabha Eye Hospital, Jorhat, to benefit residents in the border areas next month.
The meeting was chaired by BPCC(A-N) president Jiten Buragohain, with the keynote address delivered by coordinator Er. Temsu Wathi. Vote of thanks was pronounced by BPCC executive member Gonesh Saikia.
