Nagaland BSI Dimapur inaugurates Hamren Branch

DIMAPUR

Bible Society of India (BSI), Dimapur Auxiliary, inaugurated the Hamren Branch on November 26 at Puta Karbi Baptist Association Mission Centre, Karbi Along was initiated by BSI Diphu Branch and United Christian Forum.
In a press release, auxiliary secretary, Dimapur, Rev. Dr. Yiepetso Wezah, informed that 19 leaders from different denominations attended the consultation and inauguration of the branch.
The discussion was moderated by Diphu Branch president, Rev. Dr. Solomon Rongpi, while the purpose of the consultation was highlighted by Diphu Branch secretary, Rev. Primingson, who explained the BSI ministry and the role of its branches. There are around 35 churches in the Hamren division contributing significantly to the ministry of BSI through Diphu Branch. They will operate independently in carrying out their ministry work, it added. BSI also announced the newly elected office bearers: president, pastor Hamron Rongpi (NKJPA); vice president, Sarim; secretary, Rev. Abu Kro, executive secretary (PKBA); assistant secretary, Silabor Rongpi; and treasurer, Martin Teron (Church of God).
